By accessing or using TameFlare, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. TameFlare is source-available software licensed under the Elastic License v2 (ELv2). These terms apply to all usage models.

2. License

TameFlare is licensed under the Elastic License v2 (ELv2). You may use, copy, and modify the software for your own use. You may not provide TameFlare as a managed service to third parties. The full license text is available in the project repository.

3. Self-Hosted Usage

When self-hosting TameFlare, you are responsible for your own infrastructure, security, backups, and compliance. We provide the software as-is. You are responsible for configuring encryption keys, managing access control, and securing your deployment.

4. Paid Tiers

Paid license keys unlock higher limits and additional features on your self-hosted instance. The following terms apply:

  • Data ownership — You retain full ownership of all data processed through TameFlare, including action specs, policies, audit logs, and configuration.
  • Billing — Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time.
  • License keys — License keys are signed JWTs verified locally. No internet connection is required for validation.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use TameFlare to facilitate illegal activities or circumvent lawful compliance requirements.
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the security features of TameFlare.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when interacting with our services or team.

6. Limitation of Liability

TameFlare is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software. TameFlare is a governance tool — it reduces risk but does not eliminate it. You remain responsible for the actions of your AI agents.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the changelog. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
